LEE HUNTER – BASSIST/VOCALS:
Lee was born in London and following excursions with a number of local bands, he joined his first professional outfit, “Strider”. They cut 2 albums and became well known as a support act on tours with major artists such as Rod Stewart, Alex Harvey, Status Quo and Rory Gallagher. They also appeared at 2 Reading Festivals and a number of other major festivals. He then joined “National Flag”, and spent the next 2 years touring Japan. He returned to England and joined “Flix” who were well known as Frankie Miller’s backing band. He then worked as a session musician working in cabaret bands for Michael Barrymore and David Copperfield amongst others. He moved to Cheltenham in 1986 where his exceptional bass playing gained him a high reputation in the local musical fraternity. He now works on a professional basis, and continues to do studio session work for a number of well-known artists including Keith Thompson. He joined Otis in 1995
From time to time the band has been joined by other musicians such as 'The Little Big Horns', Keith Thompson, Rob Peacey (sax), Dik Cadbury, Bryn Thomas and others.On this page you can hear Otis singing 'al fresco' with The Paul Newman Jam Band.
